COP28 Bengdara Launched " Think Tomorrow" aims to achieve future green zone sustainable in Libya
Today at (COP28), Chairman Farhat Bengdara unveiled the “Think Tomorrow” initiative, launched by the National Oil Corporation, with the aim of achieving a green and sustainable future for Libya, by adopting environmentally friendly practices such as eradicating gas flaring and waste oil lakes.
The NOC has successfully exported the inaugural shipment of 600,000 barrels of Erawin's crude oil
This significant achievement marks the first export of crude oil from the Erawin oil field, produced by Zallaf, an esteemed exploration and production entity in the oil and gas sector. The shipment was dispatched through Az-Zawiah's port, underscoring a milestone in Erawin's oil production and the N.O.C's strategic export initiatives.

OMV declared the start of exploratory drilling operations in February 2024
During a technical meeting held at NOC headquarters in Tripoli on 2nd November 2023, OMV declared that it will begin exploratory drilling in Libya at the beginning of February 2024. During this meeting, held with the Exploration Department of NOC, OMV discussed the details of the works it carried out during this year 20223, as well as the works to be performed next year after the lifting of Force Majeure last September.
